Nanos have benefits. Like, a lot of ‘em.
Everything has benefits — insurance, memberships, even gyms and stuff.
Nanos are no different.
Let’s put on our trading scuba gear and dive deep into the world of options trading.
For starters, how about affordability?
Nanos are the first-and-only exchange-listed one multiplier option in the history of options trading. In a nutshell, that means the price you SEE is precisely the price you PAY— which means you can own a Nanos for about the same price as a cup of Starbucks — oh, and plus applicable fees and commissions.
Another Nanos benefit is cash, cash, cash.
Nanos are based on the S&P 500 Index* — meaning, all settlements are in cash with no stock shares. Your bank account is hungry, so when you do have earnings — though sometimes you might not — why not feed the thing with cash?
And here’s my big finale.
If you’re new to options, Nanos are great for honing your skills. With more strike prices added, try out those advanced or complex trading strategies but at a lower price than standard size option contracts.
With Nanos, now you've got options.
*Nanos trade on Cboe as a $1 multiplier option (versus a $100 multiplier for standard options) on the Mini-S&P 500 Index, which is 1/10th the value of the S&P 500 Index.
Options are not suitable for all investors. Before trading Nanos, you should discuss with your broker whether trading Nanos is right for you and review the Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options (or Options Disclosure Document) regarding risks associated with trading options.
Prior to buying or selling an option, a person must receive a copy of Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options (also referred to as the Options Disclosure Document or ODD). Copies of the ODD are available from your broker or from The Options Clearing Corporation, 125 S. Franklin Street, Suite 1200, Chicago, IL 60606 ([email protected]).
