The iShares Russell 2500 ETF d seeks to track the investment
results of the Russell 2500TM Index (the Underlying Index), which measures
the performance of the small- to mid-capitalization sector of the U.S. equity
market, as defined by FTSE Russell (the Index Provider or Russell). The
Underlying Index includes issuers representing approximately 19% of the total
market capitalization of all publicly-traded U.S. equity securities. The
Underlying Index is a float-adjusted capitalization-weighted index of equity
securities issued by approximately 2,500 of the smallest issuers in the Russell
3000 Index.
